Annette Hugen - NOWHERE MAN
Anybody looking over my fence on a warm summer's day would have been very entertained as I followed this plump toad around my yard, trying to get him to cooperate. It was sometime later that I finally was able to pull off this macro shot after we had a quick starring contest as he sat on the concrete driveway. As he watched me with his big eyes it was like he said "O.K. I've had enough of this - take your best shot"! I ended up with both knees and elbows bleeding from crawling around on the driveway to get this eye level, head on image of this grumpy toad! A moment later he was gone, warts and all headed out into no-man's land! annettehugen.artistwebsites.com

Annette, As a boy, I loved to find and play with toads! At night under a light, bugs would collect and I would watch my toad stalk and then snap up a bug with is tongue....zap! If you look really close at their eyes they look like textured gold floating in black...your shot brought back memories from decades ago! JERRY
Annette Hugen replied:
Jerry, I'm glad to see that this image brought back pleasant childhood memories!

I don't know which I find more amusing, this 'plump' toad's expression or your title! Love this great photo's composition, colors, and of course, the model. Fun! v.
Annette Hugen replied:
Thanks for the wonderful comment Andrea! I could not think of a title and so I asked my 11 year old son what he thought. He's a big Beatles fan! :)
